Certification Marks
CE Marking Access to the European Union.
The CE Marking is a mandatory European marking and is evidence of compliance to the essential health and safety requirements of the European Directives. The CE Marking must be affixed to a product if it falls under the scope of the approximately 20 so called 'New Approach' Directives. Without the CE Marking the product may not be placed in the market or put into service in the member states of the European Union and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. However, if the product meets the provisions of the applicable European Directives, and the CE Marking is affixed to the product, these countries may not prohibit, restrict or impede the placing in the market or putting into service of the product. As such, CE Marking can be regarded as the product's trade passport for Europe. | | ETL Listed Certification for North American markets.
The ETL Listed Mark is evidence of compliance to US and Canadian national standards such as ANSI, CSA, CGA, IEC and UL for electrical, medical-technical, gas-fired and oil-fired products. ETL certification also includes the North American requirement for follow-up inspections at the factory.
| | S Marking Access Sweden and many more markets. Since 1926 the S mark has been a symbol of safety in Sweden and many countries around the world. The S mark is evidence that a product has been tested and approved by ETL SEMKO as meeting minimum requirements of prescribed and harmonized European Union standards. | |
